The Uncharted Series Treasure Hunter Becomes A Sought-After Collectible...

Naughty Dog Studios, the gaming company behind last year’s amazing and award-winning original game title Last of Us, was previously know for their work in PlayStation staple series Crash Bandicoot and Jak & Daxter. But the series that really brought their name to light is the popular adventure series Uncharted. The first game in series Uncharted: Drake’s Fortune was released in 2007 on PlayStation 3 to critical acclaim and spawned two equally successful sequels, Uncharted 2: Among Thieves and Uncharted 3: Drake’s Deception. The main character Nathan Drake, a roguish and charismatic adventurer, is the supposed descendant of Sir Francis Drake who goes on globe-spanning journeys seeking lost treasures ala Indiana Jones. His third and latest adventure finds Drake in the Rub’ al Khali Desert looking for the “Iram of the Pillars” and it is this look that Sideshow has based their new Premium Format Nathan Drake figure on. An interesting side note is that the statue of Nathan Drake included in the Collector’s Edition of Uncharted 3 was also created by Sideshow.

Armored Up and Looking Tough...

The figure comes packaged within a tall and slender multi-colored window box with an really cool illustration of Batman alongside the official Arkham Origins logo on the front panel. The box is surrounded by multiple images of the figure in various poses showcased on the side panels and an oversized image of the figure and game logo on the back. While the majority of the figure can be seen through the plastic window, the accessories and cape are kind of hidden but they are there.

With the upcoming sequel to 2012's The Amazing Spider-man hitting theaters on May 2, Hot Toys once again releases a highly sought after figure with Peter Parker/Spider-man from The Amazing Spider-man. Now, fans and collectors can own their own Spider-man/Peter Parker based on the latest live-action version of the character.

PACKAGING

As with other Movie Masterpiece Series figures, Spider-man comes in an attractive and durable cardboard box with the front of the package featuring Spider-man in full costume and in action over the city skyline and the back of the package featuring the figure posed and the creative and design information. The interior of the package includes the main figure, all parts and pieces in a clear plastic tray molded to ensure each part and piece is stored, protected and secure.

Based on the True Type 12" Body, the Amazing Spider-man figure features two sculpted heads, multiple sculpted hands and four sculpted webs. No doubt the most impressively sculpted piece here is no doubt the Andrew Garfield as Peter Parker head sculpt, which was brought to life beautifully by Im Jung Hyuk.

The long-awaited final member of the Avengers sixth scale collection has finally been released and we couldn’t be more excited about completing the entire team. The Mark VII Iron Man figure is the most robust and detailed figure to be released to date. Just when you think Hot Toys has accomplished the ultimate Iron Man figure, they go and deliver even more enhancements and display options with this amazing Mark VII sixth scale figure.


The packaging for the Mark VII follows in the tradition of all the other Avengers figures that have been released with an oversized image of Iron Man on the front of the outer box with a silver foil Avengers movie logo on the bottom right corner. The box is a solid Hot Rod Red and features the name of the character on top panel in a bold white font.

The figure and all it’s interchangeable parts come carefully housed within two molded plastic trays that are layered on top of one another. The upper tray holds the figure, interchangeable hands and Tony Stark head portrait while the lower tray houses the interchangeable armor pieces, display stand and additional arms.
