Unique Xenomorph Statues & Collectibles...

NYTF16: Kotobukiya Alien/Aliens

One of Kotobukiya’s most recent licenses is a personal favorite of ours here at Figures.com: the Alien franchise! On display at New York Toy Fair 2016 were three unique items (with a fourth newly announced). First up, we have to mention the unique Alien Big Chap Mini Figures, a line of blind boxed figs featuring the scary alien in all sorts of menacing as well as silly poses. These will come two to a package ($8.99 - April) and are perfect to decorate the Alien lover’s desk or computer.

We saw a huge variety of characters, vehicles, and spaceships from across the Star Wars universe including the Original Trilogy, The Force Awakens, Rebels, and more all the way from small Microfighters to a huge new Hoth playset. NYTF16: Hasbro Transformers

Headmasters Evolve In Titans Return...

Hasbro started out their press event nearby New York Toy Fair 2016 this past weekend with a presentation on Transformers. They started with a brief look at the Titan Class Trypticon, winner of the fan vote, which is in development at this time. From what we saw it’s going to be HUGE and jam-packed with fun features updating the classic toy like they’ve done with Metroplex, etc. We also got to see a new trailer for Robots in Disguiseseason two and a few new toys. In the Warriors Class will be a new Windblade and Scorponok, and Power Surge Optimus Prime will come with the Acrobolt Minicon that activates all sorts of special features like pop up armor and weapons. There will be an Entertainment Earth exclusive Platinum Edition Warrior Bumblebee, and the first RID character joining the Generations lineup in the Voyager scale will be Grimlock.

NYTF16: Hasbro Star Wars

More Force Awakens, Rebels, Original Trilogy & Expanded Universe...

While The Force Awakens hit theaters last year Star Wars is still in everyone’s mind and of course collectors and kids are always rabid for more toys. At Hasbro’s press event in New York we got to see a variety of products that will be arriving on shelves in the coming months, though we should warn you now that there was NOTHING shown from Rogue One. We all have to wait a few months to start seeing stuff from that movie, but Hasbro did reveal that the San Diego Comic-Con Black Series exclusive this year will be something from Rogue One, so that’s cool. Alright, let’s talk about what they did reveal! For the kiddies there’s more Galactic Heroes on the way focusing on the Force Awakens and the film’s main characters. Two-packs will bring Poe Dameron and BB-8, Han Solo and the Crimson Corsair, and Captain Phasma and Rey, while Admiral Ackbar will come with a resistance base set. There will be vehicle releases from the Rebels show featuring the hero vessels Ghost and Phantom with the crew and plenty of action features.
