NYTF16: Hasbro Star Wars

More Force Awakens, Rebels, Original Trilogy & Expanded Universe...

While The Force Awakens hit theaters last year Star Wars is still in everyone’s mind and of course collectors and kids are always rabid for more toys. At Hasbro’s press event in New York we got to see a variety of products that will be arriving on shelves in the coming months, though we should warn you now that there was NOTHING shown from Rogue One. We all have to wait a few months to start seeing stuff from that movie, but Hasbro did reveal that the San Diego Comic-Con Black Series exclusive this year will be something from Rogue One, so that’s cool. Alright, let’s talk about what they did reveal! For the kiddies there’s more Galactic Heroes on the way focusing on the Force Awakens and the film’s main characters. Two-packs will bring Poe Dameron and BB-8, Han Solo and the Crimson Corsair, and Captain Phasma and Rey, while Admiral Ackbar will come with a resistance base set. There will be vehicle releases from the Rebels show featuring the hero vessels Ghost and Phantom with the crew and plenty of action features.

In the 3 ¾ inch line the upcoming wave will offer Rebels goodies Princess LeiaKanan Jarrus in Stormtrooper disguise, second season Sabine with removable helmet, Darth Maul, and the Seventh SisterThe Force Awakens expands in this scale with the Takodana Encounter multi-pack with the first figure of Maz Kanata, Finn, Rey, BB-8 and lots of accessories like weapons, Luke Skywalker’s lightsaber, and the case in which Rey finds it.

The next Black Series wave is quite the mixture of characters. From the Original Trilogy come A New Hope Princess Leia with fabric outfit and two blasters, the Snowtrooper, and AT-AT Driver. They’re joined by the amazing Fan Vote winner Darth Revan with two lightsabers and Sabine from the first season of Rebels.
